At Junior Achievement of Central Iowa, we are fortunate to work alongside partners who share our vision of empowering young people with the skills, confidence, and inspiration to build their best futures. Among these dedicated partners, MidAmerican Energy stands out as a long-standing and valued supporter whose commitment has touched every corner of our programs.

For years, MidAmerican Energy has been more than a sponsor, they’ve been a true champion of opportunity. Their investment in JA’s mission can be seen through their sponsorship of a JA BizTown storefront and their role as Lead JA Here to Career sponsor. These contributions have provided critical funding that ensures thousands of students each year can take part in transformative, hands-on learning experiences that connect classroom lessons to real-world possibilities.

MidAmerican’s support extends far beyond financial contributions. Their employees’ generosity of time cannot go unrecognized. They volunteer in programs such as JA BizTown and JA Finance Park. Last school year 49 MidAmerican volunteers dedicated their time to guiding over 1,500 students through a day of running businesses in BizTown or helping them navigate important financial decisions in Finance Park.

Leadership is also central to MidAmerican’s impact. Tim Grabinski’s service on the JA Board of Directors since 2012 reflects the company’s deep commitment to shaping the future of education in Central Iowa. He currently serves on our Executive Committee and as Co-Chair of the Community Engagement and Marketing Committee. His leadership helps strengthen the bridge between business and education, creating opportunities for collaboration that benefit the entire community.

We know that preparing young people for success takes a village. With partners like MidAmerican Energy, we’re able to expand our reach, deepen our impact, and continue delivering life-changing programs that prepare students for the world ahead.
