What’s Next: A Year of Growth in 3DE

This blog reflects on a transformative first year of 3DE in Marshalltown, where students, teachers, and educators experienced meaningful growth together. Students who once avoided presentations gained the confidence to tackle real-world challenges, collaborate with peers, take risks, and ultimately present as finalists in a 3DE case challenge. Along the way, teachers discovered renewed excitement and purpose in their work, while the 3DE team learned the value of curiosity, collaboration, and embracing the unknown. With a strong foundation built during year one, students are now entering 10th grade ready to take on new challenges, build their skills, and discover what’s possible when they are willing to step outside their comfort zones.
