Make a difference in just a few hours! As a JA Finance Park volunteer, you will help middle school students build real-world financial literacy skills through an interactive budgeting simulation. In the simulation, each student receives a life scenario that includes a career, monthly income, family situation, and debt and expenses.
What You'll Do
As a JA Finance Park volunteer, you will:
- Guide students through budgeting activities
- Encourage students as they make financial decisions
- Share personal career and money management experiences
- No financial expertise is required, and on-site training is provided.
Volunteer Commitment
Time: 8:45am-1:15pm
Location: 6100 Grand Ave, Des Moines
Group Opportunities: Great for corporate volunteer teams
Training: Provided by Junior Achievement staff
