Education Manager

The Education Manager will oversee a portfolio comprised of K-12 classrooms and is responsible for maintaining educator and volunteer relationships, conducting trainings to ensure they are set up for success.

Title: Education Manager
Area: JA of Central Iowa
Reports to: Education Lead
Status: Part-Time, Hourly

Primary Responsibilities:

Maintain educator and volunteer relationships; conduct trainings to ensure they are set up for success

Oversee a portfolio comprised of K-12 classrooms

Handle general records and correspondence with volunteers and prospects, maintain constituent and program information in database

Market and recruit for middle and high school programming, student events, JA Connect/JA Here to Career

Manage elementary classroom kit ordering, delivery and inventory for assigned classes

Set up user accounts on the JA learning management systems

Provide status updates regarding program activity

Maintain strong understanding of new and existing program offerings and implementation models

Assist with grant tracking and report deliverables as needed

Serve on the Education team and support other programs as needed

Accountable for yearly Scorecard metric(s)

Assist with JA Special Events as needed

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications (required)

Bachelor’s degree in education field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience with sales or recruiting preferred

Strong computer literacy due to high volumes of emails and many blended programming options

Strong oral/written communication skills

Knowledge of the education community and school districts/organizations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands are representative of a typical office work environment and must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Additionally, the person in this role will be required to occasionally lift or carry 25-50 pounds.
