The Simulation Specialists facilitate and assist with the daily operations of JA BizTown and/or JA Finance Park. Assist in educator and volunteer training associated with JA BizTown and JA Finance Park. Act as a resource to students, volunteers, and educators.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage simulation day efficiently and effectively when volunteers and students are present by helping to lead simulation processes on the microphone
Prepare for simulation by following the morning set-up guidelines and afternoon cleaning and reset procedures

Facilitate morning volunteer training and check-in

Consistent hours on feet, moving around, and helping volunteers and students during the simulation

Maintain overall instructional excellence of the program for all stakeholders (educators, students & volunteers)

Understand how to troubleshoot computer issues as well as store and charge devices.

Assist Manager as needed with the JA BizTown and/or JA Finance Park software by setting up daily simulations and running reports

Monitor inventory of simulation materials and forms. Inform the manager of supply needs and help restock simulation materials

Communicate with Manager to recognize potential problems, questions/concerns, etc.

Assist with JA BizTown Summer Camp sessions

Other duties and projects as assigned, including special event support

Qualifications (desired)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong interpersonal and oral presentation skills
Detail oriented and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
Positive attitude and computer literacy skill

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands are representative of a typical office work environment and must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. Additionally, the person in this role will be required to lift or carry 25-50 pounds occasionally.
