Volunteer Manager - JA Finance Park
Responsible for the annual recruitment and stewardship of all JA Finance Park volunteers. The focus of this position will be to work closely with corporations, organizations, and individuals to provide volunteers while maintaining relationships with these volunteers and partnerships for retention. A key measure of success will be the ability to secure and retain corporate and individual volunteers to support the program execution and growth of JA Finance Park.

Primary Responsibilities:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Build corporate and individual volunteer relationships
-Recruit, coordinate, and communicate with all necessary JA Finance Park volunteers prior to the simulation
-Greet JA Finance Park volunteers on the day of the simulation and show them around the facility as necessary (where they can leave their personal belongings, eat lunch, restrooms, etc.)
-Use data to drive strategy by utilizing CRM database as a volunteer recruiting tool
-Cultivate and steward relationships with volunteer coordinators and deliver best-in-class experience for the volunteers to ensure renewed and increased investment in the programs
-Attend Emerging Leaders Board committee meetings as needed to promote volunteer opportunities
-Communicate with Experiential Learning Center Manager – JA Finance Park regularly on volunteer status
-Meet regularly with Senior Manager – Experiential Learning Centers to align work with strategic goals and priorities of the organization
-Communicate with Senior Manager of Experiential Learning Centers to recognize potential problems, questions/concerns, etc.
-Assist with other Experiential Learning Center volunteerism
-Assist with Summer Camp and JA Special Events as needed
-Other duties as assigned

Qualifications (required)
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
-Experience in volunteer recruitment
-Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
-Detail oriented and proactive
-Competitive and results-driven
-Excellent oral and written communication, facilitation, and organizational skills
-Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
-Positive and optimistic attitude
-Computer literacy including Microsoft Office
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands are representative of a typical office work environment and must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Additionally, the person in this role will be required to occasionally lift or carry 25-50 pounds.
